What a week!!! brilliant performancs against Dereham, what more could the lads have done to achieve the win we deserved. We hit posts, last ditch blocks, goalie saves, and a dissalowed goal that was definately over the line..Whats the lino thinking of ??? Not over the line indeed!!! It was a pretty tough afternoon for Dereham, but give them credit for their fighting spirit.Have you ever seen such a one sided second half? Now to the Diss game 110% effort, but not quite the zing in the play we,ve come to expect, but its difficult to maintain the standard that these lads are turning out each week, and theres bound to be a blip.A very poor official who seemed to miss all the crucial incidents. That said though, with just a little luck from the run of the ball we could have won it.Bring on Wroxham!!! we are good enough to beat them. Well done lads ,and lets not forget the management team who are doing a great job. Everyone at the club would also like to wish Stuart all the very best from the injury he received at Diss for a speedy recovery.

Wasn’t at the game on sat but heard it was a good performance from the lads. Shame about pacey getting sent off, a couple of people have said it wasn’t a red card offence but these things happen so keep your chin up lee. Does anyone know how many games he’s been suspended for? Heard it is going to include the Wroxham game! This will be a big loss for the team, just hope the club can get another keeper in that is capable of playing in what could prove to be a very big game come the end of the season.
Good luck on Saturday boys, get 3 points and your flying.

Tell me how this would weaken the league further Gaz? The UCL at current is stronger then the ridgeons (eastern counties) prem so its likely the 10 teams that came over to the league will only make the standard better, not only that the league would be made up of 24 teams instead of 21

Read this the other day from the Green un website ~ not sure if this is a good idea…surely this will only weaken league further?

Massive shake-up of Eastern Counties football on the cards
By Nick Garnham
Tuesday, January 17, 2012

FOOTBALL in the Eastern Counties is set to undergo a massive shake-up under plans revealed by the Football Association.
The proposals published by the FA relate to a review of Step 5/6 clubs as the FA seek to reduce the number of Step 5 leagues from 14 down to 12 from 2013/14 onwards.
This will see the Eastern Counties League replaced by a new Eastern Division, with 10 clubs from the United Counties League merging with 14 current Ridgeons League Premier Division clubs.
It is proposed that the seven other Ridgeons League Premier Division clubs – Brantham Athletic, FC Clacton, Felixstowe & Walton United, Hadleigh United, Stanway Rovers, Wivenhoe Town and Woodbridge Town – will form a new London North-East Division with the 18 Essex Senior League clubs.
The first meeting of the planned overhaul took place at Aveley on Sunday, with three more spread over the next four weeks as the FA seek feedback from clubs.
